site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 3,121 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 18.06 Per Cent

March 12 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 272,700 after 17,277 tests identified 3,121
new infections on Thursday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
18.06 per cent.

Sofia Region tops the list of new cases with 911 positive tests,
 followed by Bourgas with 285 cases and Plovdiv with 255.

The active cases are 39,823. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 6,604, including 502 in intensive care.

Another 1,734 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 221,783.

Some 85 fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up
 to 11,094.

With 1,530 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 324,446
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 53.859 have received both doses. RY/ZH
