Sofia, March 24 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 312,741. after 19,869. tests identified
4,851 new infections in th past 24 hours, according to data
posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now
stands at 24.41 per cent.

Sofia region tops the list of new cases with 1,352 positive
tests, followed by Bourgas with 496 cases and Varna with 369.

The active cases are 60,832. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 8,927, including 729 in intensive care.


The infected medical staff have reached 11,380., with 101 new
cases detected in the past day.

Another 2,571 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, while 119 people have passed away from the infection.

With 12,436  new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 388,805
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 78,390 have received both doses. NV/DT
