site.btaBulgaria Hits Grim Record of 9,125 Hospitalized COVID Patients

March 25 (BTA) - There were a record 9,125 COVID-19
patients in Bulgarian hospitals on Wednesday. These included 743
 people in intensive care, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country reached
317,116 after 17,120 tests identified 4,375 new infections on
Wednesday, putting the test positivity rate at 25.55 per cent.

The active cases are 62,392. Another 2,710 COVID-19 patients
recovered in 24 hours, bringing the total to 242,311. The
authorities reported 106 fatalities, and the death toll now adds
 up to 242,311.

With 12,504 new inoculations on Wednesday, the number of vaccine
 doses administered to people so far reached 401,309. RY/VE
