Sofia, March 27 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 325,233 after 18,656 tests identified 4,129 new infections on Friday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/ at the beginning of Saturday. The test positivity rate now stands at 22.13 per cent.

Sofia tops the list of new cases with 1,110 positive tests, followed by Plovdiv with 342 cases and Varna with 325.

The active cases are 65,181. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 9,430, including 751 in intensive care.

Another 2,979 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 247,451.

The new fatalities stand at 89, and the death toll now adds up to 12,601.

With 14,627 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 430,228 persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the coronavirus. LN/
