site.bta740 New Cases of COVID-19 in Bulgaria, Test Positivity Rate at 17.9%

Sofia, April 5 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in
 Bulgaria reached 352,999 after 4,129 tests identified 740 new
infections on Sunday, according to data posted on 
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate for the day
stood at 17.9 per cent per cent.

Sofia City tops the list of new cases with 267 positive  tests,
followed by Varna Region with 74 and Bourgas Region with 67.

The active cases are 68,977. Currently, hospitalized patients
number 10,649, including 747 in intensive care. Infected medical
 staff have reached 12,145.

Another 858 COVID-19 patients recovered in Bulgaria on Sunday,
bringing the total to 270,433. Meanwhile, 82 fatalities were
reported, and the death toll now adds up to 13,589.

With 1,492 new inoculations on Sunday, 503,570 persons in
aggregate have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, of whom
100,887 have received both doses. NV/VE
