site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 2,944 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 18.1 Per Cent

Sofia, April 14 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 378,059 after 16,242 tests identified 2,944
new infections on Tuesday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
18.1 per cent.

Sofia Region tops the list of new cases with 692 positive tests,
 followed by Varna with 282 cases and Plovdiv with 270.

The active cases are 69,962. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 9,799, including 799 in intensive care.

Another 3,995 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 293,351.

Some 127 fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds
up to 14,746.

With 10,503 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 590,495
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 116,423 have received both doses.
