Sofia, July 12 (BTA) - Teodora Genchovska is proposed by the
There Is Such a People party for the post of defence minister.
If elected, she will be the first woman at the post in Bulgaria.
 

Genchovska is an expert in defence and armed forces. She
graduated from the Sofia Military Academy and has completed
trainings for additional qualifications in Germany, Italy,
Britain and the United States.

Her career started in the General Staff of the Bulgarian Army,
where she held positions in all levels, up to head of the
Defence Ministry's NATO and EU Department. Genchovska has been a
 member of the Bulgarian delegations to NATO's summit in Turkey,
 Wales, Poland, and Belgium. She speaks two languages and is 52.
