site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 200 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 1.28%

July 28 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in
 Bulgaria reached 424,079, after 15,641 tests identified 200 new
 infections on Tuesday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/ early on Wednesday. The test positivity
rate now stands at 1.28 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 42 positive
tests, followed by Plovdiv Region with 28 cases and Bourgas
Region with 26 cases.

The active cases now total 7,541 with 755 patients in hospital,
including 77 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 13,496.

Another 111 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 398,335.

Four fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to
 18,203.

With 12,178 new inoculations on Tuesday, 1,988,805 persons in
aggregate have received a coronavirus vaccination so far,
including 977,167 who are fully vaccinated.
