Tokyo, July 28 (BTA special correspondent Dimiter Velyov) - Bulgaria's Linda Zetchiri dropped out of the group play stage of the badminton tournament here on Wednesday. She lost to Minsk 2019 European Games champion Mia den Blichfeldt (Denmark) with 10-21, 3-21 in 29 minutes, thus finishing third in Group I of the group play stage with two losses in her two matches.
Zetchiri and den Blichfeldt were relatively equally matched only in the beginning of the match, after which the Dutch gradually increased her score to eventually win the first game. In the second game, the Bulgarian's opponent achieved a lead of 18.
