COVID-19 Update:
4,826 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 15.07%
Sofia, October 23 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 564,719, after 30,722 tests identified 4,826 new infections on Friday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 15.07 per cent.
The active cases are 75,532. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 6,865, 87 per cent of whom are unvaccinated. Some 595 patients are in intensive care.
Another 1,180 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 466,212.
Some 136 fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 22,975.
Some 24,042 new inoculations were made over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of vaccine doses administered so far to 2,709,549.
