site.btaBulgarian Company Invests 30 Million Leva in New Logistics Facility Near Sofia

October 23 (BTA) - A ceremony was held on Saturday for the start of construction works of a new logistics and warehousing facility in the Sofia-Bozhourishte Industrial Park. The 30 million investment in the facility, expected to be finished at the end of March 2023, is made by a Bulgarian company selling household appliances.

The official ground-breaking ceremony was attended by caretaker Economy Minister Daniela Vezieva, the Executive Director of the Bulgarian Investment Agency, Stamen Yanev, and the Executive Director of the Industrial Zones National Company, Antoaneta Barres.

The new facility is on an area of 80,000 sq m and will be built in two stages. The construction works will be carried out with a modern technology and high-quality materials. The facility will have high energy efficiency and will have its own solar power installation. A station for charging of electric vehicles is planned to be built as well.

Vezieva said, quoted by her Ministry, that twelve projects totalling 400 million leva have been certified in Bulgaria the past several months under the Investment Promotion Act. Most of the projects are outside Sofia, with four in municipalities with higher unemployment than the average for the country. ZH//
