site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,370 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 12.98%

October 25 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 569,443, after 10,554 tests identified 1,370 new infections on Sunday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 12.98 per cent.

Sofia tops the list of new cases with 446 positive tests, followed by Varna with 188 cases and Plovdiv with 71.

The active cases are 79,312. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 6,912, including 600 in intensive care.

Another 536 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 467,058.

Forty fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 23,073.

With 7,156 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,728,389 vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,440,294 people are fully vaccinated, and 12,493 have received a booster jab.
