Exit Polls after Bulgarian General Elections:
Five to Eight Parties in Parliament,
GERB Leads


Sofia, October 5 (BTA) - The exit polls after the October 5
early general elections in Bulgaria send five or eight parties
and coalitions in the next Parliament: GERB, the Bulgarian
Socialist Party (BSP), the Movement for Rights and Freedoms
(MRF), the Reformist Bloc, Bulgaria without Censorship (BwC),
the Patriotic Front, ABV and Ataka.

None is getting absolute majority.

Following is the distribution of seats, as suggested by the exit
polls:

Alfa Research:
GERB - 33.2 per cent - 90 seats
BSP - 16.5 per cent - 45 seats
MRF - 14.1 per cent - 38 seats
Reformist Bloc - 8.7 per cent - 23 seats
BwC - 6.3 per cent - 17 seats
Patriotic Front - 6 per cent - 16 seats
ABV - 4.1 per cent - 14 seats

Gallupp International:
GERB - 33.9 per cent - 83 to 91 seats
BSP - 16.1 per cent - 38 to 44 seats
MRF - 14 per cent - 34 to 38 seats
Reformist Bloc - 8.6 per cent - 20-24 seats
Patriotic Front - 6.3 per cent - 14 to 18 seats
BwC - 5.6 per cent - 12 to 16 seats
Ataka - 4.5 per cent - 11 to 15 seats
ABV - 4.4 per cent - 10 to 13 seats.

MBMD:
GERB - 32 per cent
BSP - 15.8 per cent
MRF - 15 per cent
Reformist Bloc - 8.2 per cent
Ataka - 5.8 per cent

Institute for Social Studies and Marketing:
GERB - 32 per cent - 87 seats
BSP - 15.8 per cent, 43
MRF - 15 per cent, 41
Reformist Bloc - 8.2 per cent, 22
Patriotic Front - 8.1 per cent, 16
BwC - 5.4 per cent, 15
Ataka - 5.8 per cent, 16

ABV - 3.6

The parties and coalitions have to clear a 4 per cent barrier to
enter Parliament.

Analysts comment that these elections stand out with the low
turnout - just over 41 per cent, according to unofficial figures
- and the strongly fragmented Parliament they will produce.
