Stones Hurled at Socialist Party HQs in Sofia

Sofia, April 20 (BTA)-  An unidentified man hurled stones at the
 windows of the headquarters of the Bulgarian Socialist Party
(BSP) on Sunday afternoon, breaking glass windows, BSP Spokesman
 Atanas Merdjanov said. No one was hurt.

Merdjanov said the act surprised the BSP but did not baffle it.
"When opposition and division of such scale exists in society,
such events can be expected. When the opposition is so strong
and the desecration of monuments is perceived as an expression
of aesthetic perceptions, stones become means of expression,"
Merdanov said, quoted by BSP's press office.
