Georgi Purvanov: Two Ministers Are Pulling Cabinet Down

Plovdiv, Southern Bulgaria, April 21 (BTA) - "The ABV party has
criticism for some of the government ministers, particularly
Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov and Defence Minister Nikolay
Nenchev, who are definitely pulling the cabinet down," ABV
Chairman Georgi Purvanov told journalists in Plovdiv on April
20.

Purvanov said ABV's attitude towards the ruling coalition
depends on how the coalition implements the welfare system
reforms, especially the pension system reform which has been
proposed by ABV's representative in the cabinet, Labour and
Social Policy Minister Ivailo Kalfin. Purvanov added that the
question arises whether the government is really capable and
productive.

He noted that ABV is just a partner of the incumbents, not an
ally. "Still, it must be clear that our dialogue should be more
serious and thoroughgoing," he said, adding that the final say
will belong to an ABV conference on April 26.

Purvanov was a guest at the constituent conference of the ABV
chapter in Plovdiv Region.
