National Assembly Chair Tsacheva to Visit Germany with Parliamentary Delegation, May 6-7

Sofia, May 5 (BTA) - A Bulgarian parliamentary delegation, led
by National Assembly Chair Tsetska Tsacheva, will visit Berlin
on May 6 and 7, Parliament said in a press release on Tuesday.

The delegation includes National Assembly Deputy Chairmen Ivan
Ivanov and Krassimir Karakachanov and Bulgaria-Germany
Friendship Group member Atanas Merdzhanov.

On the first day of the visit, Tsacheva will confer with German
Bundestag President Norbert Lammert. The Bulgarian MPs will hold
talks with Committee on Internal Affairs Chairman Wolfgang
Bosbach, Committee on the Affairs of the European Union Chairman
Gunther Krichbaum, and with Ralf Wieland, President of the
House of Representatives (State Parliament) of Berlin.

Tsacheva will meet with Bulgarian interns in the Bundestag and
with members of the Bulgarian community in Berlin.

On May 7, the Bulgarian MPs will be welcomed at the formal
opening of the plenary session of the House of Representatives
of Berlin.

They will hold talks with the Bundestag Bulgaria-Germany
Friendship Group Chairman Gernot Erler.

National Assembly Chair Tsacheva will confer with Christian
Democratic Union/Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) Parliamentary
Group Deputy Chairperson Gerda Hasselfeldt, CDU/CSU
Parliamentary Group Chairman Volker Kauder, and Social
Democratic Party Parliamentary Group Deputy Chairman Axel
Schaefer.
