President Plevneliev to Pay Visit to Mongolia, Republic of Korea

Sofia, May 9 (BTA) - President Rosen Plevneliev will pay a state
visit to Mongolia May 10 through 12 and an official visit to
the Republic of Korea May 13 through 15, his Press Secretariat
said.

The visit to Mongolia will take place within the context of the
65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations
between the two countries. Talks will be dominated by the
opportunities for deepening political dialogue and,
strengthening trade and economic cooperation and partnership in
areas including mining, the pharmaceutical industry, the energy
sector, agriculture and food production, the leather and fur
industry, high-tech, the construction of modern infrastructure,
research, education and culture.

President Plevneliev will meet with President Tsakhiagiin
Elbegdorj, the Chairman of the State Great Hural, Zandaakhuu
Enkhbold, and Prime Minister Chimediin Saikhanbileg.

While in Ulan Bator, Plevneliev will open a monument to the
Cyrillic letters and attend the opening of a bilateral business
forum.

From Ulan Bator, he is going to Seoul on an official visit at
the invitation of President Park Geun-hye and on the occasion of
the 25th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral
relations.

On May 14, the two Heads of State will discuss bilateral
relations and cooperation opportunities in a variety of areas
including infrastructure, energy, transport and logistics, the
automotive industry, defence, agriculture and food production,
cosmetics, academic and cultural exchanges. Bilateral documents
will be signed during the visit.

President Plevneliev is also scheduled to talk with the Speaker
of the National Assembly, Chung Ui Hwa, and Korean business
representatives.

A bilateral business forum is scheduled for May 15.

The President's delegation for the visit to Mongolia and the
Republic of Korea includes Defence Minister Nikolay Nenchev,
parliamentary representatives and officials of the Ministries of
Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, Economy, Education and Science,
Youth and Sport, and Tourism. A delegation of the Confederation
of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria will be accompanying
them as well.
