National Security Council under Prime Minister Meets over Situation in Macedonia

Sofia, May 12 (BTA) - The Council on National Security under
Prime Minister Boyko Borissov is meeting Tuesday over the
situation in Macedonia, the Bulgarian National Television (BNT)
reported.

The meeting will be off-limits for the press.

The Council will reportedly decide what measures need to be
taken in the wake of the events taking place only 60 km of the
Bulgarian border.

Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov said on BNT that Macedonia is a
neighbour and what happens there could be reflected in Bulgaria.

"What matters most for Bulgaria is the stability and territorial
integrity of Macedonia. Macedonia has its European future but
the events there cause a serious concern about stability and
ethnic peace," he added.
