Bulgarian Tourism Minister Meets Jordanian Counterpart

Dead Sea/Sofia, May 22 (BTA) - Bulgarian Tourism Minister
Nikolina Angelkova met with Nayef H. Al-fayez, the Jordanian
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, on Thursday, said
Angelkova's Ministry. She is on an official visit to Jordan to
partiicpate in the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and
Northern Africa.

The two Ministers agreed that their countries will work towards
signing a joint action plan to the intergovernmental agreement
on cooperation in tourism.

They expressed a hope to increase the tourist flow based on the
good bilateral relations and agreed to start organizing joint
tours in the near future.

Angelkova also met with Amjad Maslamani, the owner of Fly
Jordan, and discussed with him a chartered service between Amman
and Bourgas, on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, which is
expected to open in June and another one between Sofia and Amman
as of September.

Last year Bulgaria was visited by 1,596 Jordanians and 1,374 of
them came here as tourists. This is an increase of over 30 per
cent from the 2013 figures. The significant rise shows the kind
of capacity that exists for increasing the tourist exchange,
said Angelkova's Ministry.
