Bulgaria Welcomes Iran Nuclear Deal

Sofia, July 14 (BTA) - "Bulgaria welcomes the historic agreement reached in Vienna on July 14 on a Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action for the Iranian nuclear programme between the foreign ministers of E3 + 3 (the UK, Germany, France, China, Russia and the US) and Iran," the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said in a position circulated as a press release on Tuesday.

"We believe that the settlement of this long-term intricate problem is a significant step towards confidence- and stability-building in the region of the Middle East and Southwest Asia which is neighbouring on Bulgaria," the position reads. The Ministry sees the emergence of "favourable opportunities for cooperation and constructive dialogue with Iran on a number of issues, including such of regional and global importance."
