PM Borissov to Ministers: Whoever Requests Additional Resources Should Tender Their Resignation

Sofia, July 15 (BTA) - At Wednesday's regular meeting of the
Cabinet, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov warned the ministers that
 any demands for additional resources should be accompanied by
the corresponding minister's resignation, the Government
Information Service said.

"Dear colleagues, I turn to you with the request to pay serious
attention to the financial discipline in the ministries you
head. What the Finance Minister tells me does not look good at
all: the cut in expenditures, as set in the national budget, is
not being implemented by many of you," Borissov said at the end
of the meeting. He went on to say that despite the efforts put
into the collection of more money, the expenditures exceed the
revenues collected in the last months. "Therefore, I firmly
state that I will approve and sign additional expenditures only
in combination with a signed resignation by the minister who is
demanding them," he underscored.
