Persons Hired under Employment Contracts 3.6% More in June than in March

Sofia, August 8 (BTA) - The persons hired under employment
contracts and civil servants were 80,900 (3.6 per cent) more at
the end of June than at the end of March and numbered 2,310,000,
 the National Statistical Institute said.

Compared to the end of the first quarter, the number of
employees in seasonal economic activities increased most: in the
 hospitality industry by 58.7 per cent; culture, sports and
entertainment 10.4 per cent; and agriculture, forestry and
fisheries 7.2 per cent. At the end of June the largest decrease,
 by 2.6 per cent, was registered in education.

Compared to a year earlier, the persons hired under an
employment contract and civil servants at the end of June 2015
were 10,200 (0.4 per cent) more. The largest increases were
registered in the creation and distribution of information and
creative products and telecommunications (by 6,000 people); the
manufacturing industry (5,100 people) and construction (2,800
people). In percentage terms, the highest  increase was in the
creation and distribution of information and creative products
and telecommunications (8.5 per cent) and in agriculture,
forestry and fisheries (3.6 per cent).

The largest  year-on-year decrease at the end of June 2015 was
registered in administrative and support service activities (by
4,600 people). In percentage terms the decrease was largest in 
real estate activities at 4.9 per cent.
