Interior Minister Orders Weekly Analyses of Statistics of Road Accidents, Breach of Traffic Rules

Sofia, August 10 (BTA) - On an order of Interior Minister
Roumyana Buchvarova, the Traffic Police unit will daily monitor
the data on violations of traffic rules, as well as road
accidents and imposed fines, Buchvarova's Ministry said on
Monday.

The information on violations of road traffic rules and tickets
issued to drivers will be announced weekly in the web site of
the police and also on Facebook. The data will also include the
number of serious road accidents, fatalities and injured people.
 

The analyses will be used by the Ministry to follow closely the
tendencies in the traffic and decide on additional changes in
the measures in respect of road traffic checks and offender. The
 aim is to improve road traffic safety and reduce the number of
people killed or injured in accidents.
