Election Commission Results Show GERB Mayoral Candidate Achieves Landslide Victory in Sofia

Sofia, October 26 (BTA) - GERB's mayoral candidate and incumbent
 Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova won 57.12 per cent of  the vote
in Sunday's local elections, the Central Election Commission
said Monday morning. These initial results are based on 4.95 per
 cent of the protocols of the district election commissions
(DEC), submitted to the Municipal Election Commission (MEC). Her
 closest rival,  Reformist Bloc candidate Vili Lilkov garnered
10.38 per cent, Socialist candidate Mihail Mirchev, 9.39 per
cent,  Georgi Kadiev of the Serdica/ABV coalition won 5.79 per
cent and Angel Djambazki, Internal Macedonian Revolutionary
Organization (IMRO), 4.66 per cent.

In Sofia, 71.96 per cent voted with "yes" in the national
referendum on electronic voting, while 28.04 per cent voted with
 "no", according to a sample, based on  4.62 per cent of the DEC
 protocols, submitted to MEC.
