Bulgaria, Estonia to Cooperate in Preparing for Presidency of  EU Council

Sofia, May 18 (BTA) - Meglena Kuneva, Deputy Prime Minister for European Policies Coordination and Institutional Affairs and Education and Science Minister, and Estonia's Foreign Minister Marina Kaljurand agreed their countries would cooperate actively in preparing for the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU, in which they are in a trio with Britain.

Migration, security, economic growth, employment, energy and the digital economy are certain to be among the trio's priorities. They will be elaborated at meetings after Britain's referendum in June.

Estonia's suggestion to introduce digital presidency of the Council using as little paper as possible, the two countries' preparedness for the presidency and possible exchanges of lecturers were also discussed.

Kuneva and Kaljurand talked about matters of shared interest and about the development of EU policies.
