Justice Minister Zaharieva Leaves for Brussels

Sofia, June 29 (BTA) - Bulgarian Justice Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva is leaving Wednesday for Brussels, where she will pay a one-day working visit, Zaharieva's Ministry said in a press release.

On Thursday, she will confer with European Commission Vice-Presidents Kristalina Georgieva and Valdis Dombrovskis, with the Commission's Secretary-General Alexander Italianer, and with Deputy Secretary-General Paraskevi Michou.

Commissioner Dombrovskis supervises the operation of the Structural Reform Support Service, which arranges the technical assistance for preparing an independent analysis of the structural and functional model of the prosecution service in Bulgaria. The Commission's Secretariat-General follows work under the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism (CVM), and Michou headed the regular CVM review mission that visited Sofia a month ago.
