Sofia, September 14 (BTA) - The turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange - Sofia (BSE-Sofia) in August exceeded the total turnover for the first five months of 2017, BSE-Sofia said.

It increased more than seven fold compared to July and over 4.5 fold as from August 2016 reaching 157 million leva.

In August the total market capitalization dropped insignificantly by 0.22 per cent month-on-month but nevertheless increased by 41 per cent year-on-year.

The companies with special investment purpose increased their capitalization, while the capitalization of the Premium and Standard equity segments marked a decrease.

SOFIX, BSE's principal index, and BGBX40 dropped insignificantly, while BGTR30 and BGREIT rose.
