Sofia, November 20 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov conferred with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic over the phone, the government's information service said on Monday.

The two discussed the progress of the preparation of Bulgaria's EU Presidency. Special attention was paid to questions about connectedness, infrastructure and improvement of the conditions for making business and investments in the countries in the region.

Borissov said that Bulgaria attaches big importance to the active communication and cooperation between the countries of the Western Balkans and the EU, and makes efforts to place the region at the focus of attention. The two officials discussed Borissov's upcoming meeting in Sofia with the leaders of the countries of the Western Balkans, which will be accompanied by a World Bank conference on regional development. Borissov and Vucic also discussed the topics of the next meeting of the quadrilateral format Bulgaria-Greece-Romania-Serbia due in Belgrade in December. The first such meeting was held in the Black Sea City of Varna in early October on Borissov's initiative.
