site.btaPrime Minister Borissov Departs on Official Visit to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Sofia, November 28 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko BorissoV Tuesday departs on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A visit of such a high level takes place for the first time in the history of the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the government's information service said.

The visit is intended to strengthen the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. On its agenda will be issues in key areas, including security, energy, trade, transport, tourism.

In Riyadh Borissov is scheduled to confer with the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Bulgarian Prime Minister is also scheduled to confer with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Adel al-Jubeir, and with the Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Khalid A. Al-Falih.

Bulgarian former PM and ex-monarch Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha will be an honorary guest during the visit. The official Bulgarian delegation includes deputy prime ministers Ekaterina Zaharieva and Krassimir Karakachanov, and the ministers of agriculture, food and forests, of transport, IT and telecommunications, and of tourism: Roumen Porozhanov, Ivailo Moskovski, and Nikolina Angelkova, respectively.
