Sofia, March 11 (BTA) - The Ivan Vazov National Theatre and five national theatres of Balkan countries Saturday established an Association of the Balkan National Theatres.

Director of the Bulgarian National Theatre Marius Donkin and representatives of the theatres of Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Slovenia and Romania signed the memorandum establishing the Association. The formation will work to unite the efforts and good practices of its members.

Turkey, Serbia and Greece too have decided to join the Association and will sign the memorandum in the coming weeks as their representatives had other appointments and could not attend Saturday's signing ceremony, sources from the Bulgarian National Theatre said.
