site.btaPM Borissov Confers with ECB President Draghi

Sofia, May 10 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov conferred with European Central Bank (ECB) President Mario Draghi in the German city of Aachen where he is attending the Charlemagne Prize ceremony.

Borissov and Draghi discussed Bulgaria's readiness to apply for the eurozone. The two noted the country's good macroeconomic, fiscal and financial indicators and the excellent cooperation between the European Central Bank, the Bulgarian Finance Ministry and the Bulgarian National Bank.

Earlier, Borissov attended a service at the cathedral in Aachen.

The Prime Minister is attending the ceremony at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron who is this year's recipient of the prize.
