Sofia, August 8 (BTA) - Police officers have discovered a large quantity of drugs in Sofia's Druzhba residential district, the Interior Ministry reported on Wednesday.

On Monday, law enforcement officers came across almost 10 kg of illegal substances, consisting of white powder and plant-based materials, weighing scales, a compressing machine, various acids and bags. Tests were conducted revealing that 9,828 g of the substances were amphetamines, 33.66 g cannabis and 0.93 g cocaine.

Two men, 58 and 21 years old, have been detained. They were residing at the address where the drugs were found. Charges have been brought against them. Work on the initiated pre-trial proceedings continues. RY/MY
