Luxembourg, August 17 (BTA) - The annual inflation rate in the EU was 2.2 per cent in July 2018 and in the euro area, 2.1 per cent, Eurostat said in a press release on Friday. Bulgaria's annual inflation rate stood at 3.6 per cent, the second highest annual rate in the EU last month.

Bulgaria's annual inflation rate in July 2017 was just 0.6 per cent.

The highest annual inflation rate in July 2018 was recorded in Romania (4.3 per cent) and the lowest, in Greece (0.8 per cent).
