site.btaAgriculture Minister Porozhanov Confers with Governor of Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority Ibrahim Al-Omar

October 8 (BTA) - Agriculture, Food and Forestry Minister
 Roumen Porozhanov has conferred in Saudi Arabia with Ibrahim
Al-Omar, the governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment
Authority (SAGIA), Porozhanov's Ministry said in a press release
 Monday. Porozhanov is in Saudi Arabia at the invitation of the
country's Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture
Abdulrahman Bin Abdulmohsen Al Fadhli.

Porozhanov is quoted as saying that the two ministries worked
very actively in the past months on several investment projects
in agriculture. One of the projects, for a fodder-making plant
near the Black Sea city of Bourgas, is in an advanced stage.

Abdulrahman Bin Abdulmohsen Al Fadhli for his part said that his
 country is a very big market and consumer of food. He said that
 Bulgaria has good foods and can use Saudi Arabia as a hub for
the entire Arab market. The Saudi Arabian official sees a huge
potential in the development of the bilateral cooperation in
agriculture.

Porozhanov visited one of the biggest cow-breeding farms in
Saudi Arabia where he was welcomed by Prince Naif bin Sultan bin
 Mohammed bin Saud Al Kabeer.

Porozhonav is to open the Bulgarian booth at the Saudi Agrofood
exhibition where this country participates for the first time
with dedicated space. Nine Bulgarian companies are presented.
