site.btaPrime Minister Borissov, British Ambassador Hopkins Discuss Progress of Brexit Negotiations

October 15 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and
British Ambassador to Sofia Emma Hopkins discussed at a meeting
on Monday the progress of the Brexit negotiations, the
government's information service said.

The two officials confirmed that they will do their best to
guarantee the rights of the Bulgarian nationals in Britain, and
of the British in Bulgaria. Borissov is quoted as saying that
the British nationals are welcome and will be welcome in
Bulgaria even after Brexit.

Borissov and Hopkins also discussed the bilateral cooperation in
 security. The two confirmed that the services will continue to
work together in the fight against terrorism, illegal trade,
illegal migration, and corruption, and in criminal
investigations.

Hopkins updated Borissov on the progress of the investigation
into the so-called Skripal case. RY/ZH
