Brussels, October 18 (BTA) - In September 2018, the annual inflation rate remained stable at 2.2 per cent in the EU and increased to 2.1 per cent in the euro area, Eurostat said in a press release on Friday. Bulgaria had the third highest annual inflation rate in the EU: 3.6 per cent, compared to 3.7 per cent in August 2018.

The first and second highest annual inflation rates in September 2018 were recorded in Romania (4.7 per cent) and Hungary (3.7 per cent), respectively. Denmark had the lowest annual inflation rate (0.5 per cent).
