May 26 (BTA) - A small airplane has crashed near the 
western town of Ihtiman, killing the pilot and a female 
passenger, the Interior Ministry reported Sunday.
The crash was reported shortly after 11:00 am.

The plane departed from the Chernevo flying field (near Ihtiman)
 and was headed to Draganovo.

The Sofia District Prosecution Office is investigating the
incident, the prosecuting magistracy said.

According bTV's information, the incident involved a Mistral
aircraft registered in Italy.
