Bulgaria Proposes More Active Cooperation
with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Algeria
In Tourism Sector


Sofia, June 2 (BTA) - Bulgarian Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova met with Mirko Sarovic, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, within the framework of the International Conference for Sustainable Investment in Tourism in Sunny Beach, on the Black Sea, said the Tourism Ministry's press centre on Sunday.

Angelkova noted during the meeting that Bulgaria and Bosnia and Herzegovina can co-operate even more actively in the field of tourism. "Together we can become be even more interesting and sought after as a destination. We know each other, but we need common efforts to promote ourselves jointly," said Minister Angelkova, quoted by her ministry's press center.

Minister Sarovic welcomed the idea of actively promoting the Balkans to Chinese tourists and invited his Bulgarian colleague to visit Sarajevo. The two ministers agreed that signing a memorandum between the two countries in the field of tourism will outline concrete steps towards these goals.

Minister Angelova also had working meeting with Algerian counterpart Abdelkader Benmessaoud, the Tourism Ministry's press office said. They discussed future joint initiatives and the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation in the sector. Minister Angelkova expressed her readiness to give full support to Algerian investors.

On his part, Algerian Minister Benmessaoud praised Bulgaria's economic progress and the positive development in the quality of tourism services and SPA tourism. LY/DT
