site.btaBulgaria, Mongolia Discuss Deepening of Economic Cooperation
June 24 (BTA) - At a meeting here on Monday,
Bulgarian Economy Minister Emil Karanikolov and Mongolian Deputy
Prime Minister Olziisaikhany Enkhtuvshin discussed trade and
economic cooperation between their countries, the Economy
Ministry said. Ulan Bator is hosting the 7th session of the
Bulgaria-Mongolia Intergovernmental Commission for Economic,
Trade, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
Karanikolov said that last year's two-way trade of 2.1 million
dollars does not correspond to the two countries' capabilities.
In his words, Bulgaria wants real steps to be laid out in the
bilateral cooperation for strengthening the interaction aimed at
increasing bilateral trade and for identifying new
opportunities.
The Bulgarian Economy Minister also met with Mongolia's Minister
of Education, Culture, Science, and Sports Baatarbileg
Yondonperenlei, who co-chairs the Bulgaria-Mongolia
Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Trade, Scientific and
Technical Cooperation.
Yondonperenlei said that the Intergovernmental Commission will
discuss cooperation in the field of science, youth and sports.
The Mongolian Government attaches great significance to the
Bulgarian Economy Minister's visit and expects excellent future
results, he added.
Karanikolov said firmly that key priority in the bilateral talks
should be given to education and science, because these will
lead to future results in the two countries' economy.
