Prosecutor General Moves for
Revoking Bulgarian Citizenship
of Four Foreigners
Sofia, June 28 (BTA) - Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov have asked the Justice Minister to strip of Bulgarian citizenship of four foreigners, said Tsatsarov's office Friday. The move follows as alert by the State Agency for National Security about violations in the course of the citizenship award procedure and failures to meet obligations going with Bulgarian citizenship.
It has been established that Sergey Olegovich Druzhin of Russia and Kair Zakirovich Rahimov of Kazakhstan received Bulgarian citizenship through documentary fraud. Both were naturalized in 2011.
Checks for Vladislav Leonidovich Levitskiy and Galina Olegovna Ulyutina, both of them from Russia, found out that they have failed to maintain the investment that provided the grounds for their naturalization. They were granted citizenship in 2011 and 2016, respectively. LN///
