site.btaVarna Airport Announces Direct Flights to 17 Destinations This Winter

October 28 (BTA) - This winter the
airport in the Black Sea port of Varna will have direct flights
to 17 destinations, including five new ones, Fraport Twin Star
Airport Management AD reported. The winter schedule for Varna
and Bourgas will be valid until the end of March 2020.

The new dstinations from Varna include Liverpool, Berlin,
Cologne, Hamburg and Paris. The rest are Sofia, Vienna,
Istanbul, Moscow, London, Dortmund, Munich, Eindhoven, Larnaka,
Tel Aviv, Milan and Copenhagen. There will be daily flights to
Sofia and Vienna and five flights a week to Istambul.

Four flights a week will be offered from Bourgas to Moscow, as
well as two a week to London.

The company also reported that from January to the end of
September it has served over 1.8 million passengers. In 2019
Varna Airport has been operating with nine new airlines and has
been servicing five new destinations. In the same period,
Bourgas Airport has  processed some 2.81 million passengers.

Both airports have reported a 12 per cent decline of passengers
since the beginning of the year. This, according to the
concessioner is normal compared to the 50 per cent growth
achieved in 2015-218 and the record past year./RY/BR
