Sofia, November 3 (BTA) - Bulgarian President Rumen Radev will convene a meeting to discuss omissions during the elections and the rejection of fairness during the election process. This emerged from his remarks to journalists after he cast his vote in Sunday's second round of local elections. Invited will be representatives of the Central Election Commission, law enforcement and parliamentary parties.

Asked about a solution to the problem, Radev said that this will be at issue, adding that still there is reluctance to introduce machine voting which will resolve in part the problem with the large number of invalid ballots. He said that the percentage was unacceptable.

Approached for a comment on Radev's statement, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov told journalists that "clearly elections are fair only when the president wins". According to Borissov, Radev was canvassing, proposing the meeting.

CEC Spokesperson Alexander Andreev told journalists that if such a meeting takes place, the Central Election Commission will participate and will present an opinion and an analysis of the local elections. DS/PP
