Sofia April 21 (BTA) - There are 975 confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria, the Health Ministry reported here on Tuesday afternoon.

Eighty medical staff members have been infected with the virus and are not working, while eight have recovered from the disease.

Nineteen COVID-19 cases are reported in the northern region of Pleven. They were detected in the Mizia 96 clothing factory, located in the city of Pleven, which employes around 1,000 workers.

A total of 170 patients have recovered. Over the past 24 hours there have been two COVID-19 fatalities, national coronavirus task force chief Prof. Ventsislav Moutafchiiski told a news briefing on Tuesday morning.

Chief Health Inspector Angel Kounchev said that there are detailed instructions about how to proceed with women consultations and vaccinations of children which begin this Tuesday. Doctors have to schedule 'green corridors' on Tuesday and Thursday for these patients.

Scheduled hospital admissions will also resume on Tuesday but patients won't be mass tested, said Moutafchiiski. NV/PP
