COVID-19 Update: 1,792 New Cases in Bulgaria
and 36% Positivity Rate
on Sunday


Sofia, November 29 (BTA) - There are 1,792 new coronavirus cases out of 4,928 PCR tests done in the 24 hours until Sunday midnight, according to the coronavirus.bg national platform. The positivity rate remains unchanged from the previous day but is down from close to 40 per cent a week ago.

Among the new infections are 105 medics.

The number of active cases now stands at 90,219, adding up to a total of 141,747 since the start of the pandemic.

A total of 6,830 patients are hospitalized, including 431 in intensive care.

The new recoveries are 1,039, adding up to 47,779 since the start of the pandemic.

Sixty-nine patients died in the 24 hours until midnight on Sunday. The total death toll of the pandemic now stands at 3,749.

A total of 964,461 PCR tests have been done since the start of the pandemic. LN/
