site.btaBulgaria Registers 2,814 New COVID-19 Cases, Record-high 221 Fatalities

Sofia, December 1 (BTA) - In the 24 hours to midnight on Monday,
 2,814 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Bulgaria through
6,825 PCR tests, according to data posted on the national
coronavirus website on Tuesday morning. The test positivity rate
 is 41.23 per cent.

Bulgaria recorded a daily high of 221 COVID-19 fatalities,
bringing the total death toll to 4,035.

A total of 1,971 patients recovered in the past 24 hours,
bringing the total number of recoveries to 50,565.

Since the start of the pandemic, the number of COVID-19
infections has reached 145,300, with 90,700 active cases.

A total of 6,783 coronavirus patients are in hospital, of whom
457 are in intensive care.

A total of 973,251 PCR tests have been done since the start of
the pandemic.
