December 7 (BTA) - Emerging from a meeting on Monday with the heads of the six Regional Health Inspectorates (RHI) who are in charge of the organization of the vaccination process, Health Minister Kostadin Angelov said that the lists of the frontline medical staff who wish to be vaccinated against COVID-19 must be finalized by Thursday.

All RHIs will be provided with vaccine freezers, installed in designated rooms, the Health Minister said, adding that the freezers for the first batch of vaccines are available. Freezers will be installed everywhere, and mobile teams will have smaller refrigerators.

Angelov also said that he has discussed with the Prime Minister the option to reopen kindergartens and nursery schools as of December 14, which the health authorities will be prepared to do, given the current Covid-19 figures.

The Health Minister went on to say that a series of checks has led to recommendations and fines for noncompliance with the antiepidemic restrictions at large food stores and toy stores.

For over two months now, a team of the Ministry of Health under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev have been working on the logistics for the upcoming elections, Angelov said, adding that all requirements for compliance with the safety measures will be defined in detail.
