site.bta497 New COVID-19 Cases, 1,963 Recoveries and 62 Deaths Confirmed in Bulgaria in a Day

December 14 (BTA) - The Bulgarian healthcare authorities
confirmed 497 new COVID-19 cases in the country over the 24
hours until Sunday midnight after 1,634 PCR tests. The
positivity rate was 30.42 per cent, according to data posted at
http://coronavirus.bg.

The 24-hour period saw 1,963 patients recover from the infection
 and 62 die. Those currently hospitalized total 7,244, including
 590 in intensive care.

The total number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in Bulgaria since
the beginning of the pandemic is 179,449. Recoveries total
83,720, and deaths 5,688.

There were 90,041 active cases as at Sunday midnight. A total of
 1,064,458 PCR tests have been performed in the country so far
