site.bta2,042 New COVID-19 Cases, 143 Fatalities In 24 Hours

December 18 (BTA) - In the past 24 hours, 2,042 new
COVID-19 infections were registered out of 6,835 PCR tests,
according to data published on coronavius.bg on Friday. The test
 positivity rates stands at 29.91 per cent.

This brings up the country's total number of COVID-19 cases to
188,288, and of these 88,221 are active.

In 24 hours there were 143 fatalities, bringing the total death
toll to 6,399.

A total of 1,090,431 PCR tests have been carried out since the
start of the epidemic.

Some 6,900 people have been hospitalized, with 567 in intensive
care.

In 24 hours there were 3,218 recoveries. RY/PP
