site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 966 New Cases,Test Positivity Rate at 8.65%

February 13 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 229,010 after 11,164 tests identified 966 new infections on Friday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 8.65% per cent.

Sofia City tops the list of new cases with 233 positive tests, followed by Burgas Region with 85 cases and Plovdiv Region with 76.

The active cases are 23,212. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 3,317, including 304 in intensive care.

Another 522 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 196,204.

Thirty-three fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 9,594.

With 3,571 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 74,694 persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the coronavirus. RI/PP
