site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 506 New Cases,Test Positivity Rate at 7.74%

February 14 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 229,516 after 6,537 tests identified 506 new infections on Saturday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/ on Sunday morning. The test positivity rate now stands at 7.74 per cent.

A day earlier, 966 new infections were reported and the test positivity rate stood at 8.65 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 170 positive tests, followed by Bourgas Region with 57 cases and Kyustenil Region with 40.

The active cases are 23,315. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 3,375, including 302 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 9,834 in number.

Another 389 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 196,593.

Fourteen fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 9,608.

With 626 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 75,320 persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, of whom 20,674 have received both doses.
